Financial institution staff arraigned for N14m fraud
4 staff of a microfinance financial institution have been on Wednesday arraigned at a Federal Excessive Court docket in Osogbo, Osun State for alleged N14,273,770 fraud.
The defendants Aderinlowo Joseph, Oyinlola Abimbola, Sotomi Abosede and Bello Rasaq have been charged with conspiracy, stealing and cybercrime.
Prosecutor Francis Osei mentioned the defendants, all officers of Otan-Ayegbaju Microfinance Financial institution, collected the cash from prospects and transformed it to their private use with out depositing it, as the purchasers supposed.
Osei mentioned the alleged crime was dedicated between 2016 and December 2019.
The defendants pleaded not responsible.
Justice Peter Lifu adjourned the case to November 3, 2020.
