Gov Zulum hails UAE govt for convicting Boko Haram sponsors, messages Buhari
Borno Governor, Babagana Zulum has expressed pleasure over the conviction of alleged Boko Haram sponsors within the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Zulum mentioned he was glad that for the primary time in 11 years, there gave the impression to be a headway on monitoring some financiers of the sect.
The governor lamented that Boko Haram had killed hundreds of residents, displaced hundreds of thousands, and broken personal and public properties value billions of Naira.
In a press release on Tuesday by his spokesman, Isa Gusau, Zulum urged President Muhammadu Buhari to arrange a multi-stakeholder committee to observe up on the UAE findings.
He famous that such intelligence if authenticated, be used to develop search on different Boko Haram sponsors inside and outdoors Nigeria.
Zulum steered that crew members be drawn from the Ministries of Justice, and International Affairs, Nationwide Intelligence Company, Defence Intelligence Company, the Multinational Joint Activity Drive, ECOWAS, amongst others.
Recall that in February 2020, Governor declared two days of statewide fasting and prayers in opposition to the dreaded Boko Haram terror group and their sponsors.
