CNN is determined on New Lekki shootings report – Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Info and Tradition, Lai Mohammed, has accused CNN of desperation over its second report on the Lekki toll plaza shootings that occurred on October 20.
The Minister mentioned this on NTA on Wednesday.
The CNN had on Tuesday launched a second ‘investigative report’ on the shootings at Lekki toll plaza through the #EndSARS protests amid threats of sanction from the Federal Authorities.
However the minister faulted CNN’s experiences, saying it lacked credible sources.
When requested concerning the second CNN’s report, Mohammed mentioned, “It reveals that they (CNN) are determined. The so-called current improvement has been seen earlier than. There may be nothing new. If there’s something new, it’s a contradiction of CNN’s place.
“What we’re asking CNN is that the place is your proof. The army has been constant. CNN contravenes the essential ideas of journalism – equity, and stability.
‘They did the story with out contacting the Federal Authorities for its personal aspect. They relied on second and third events narratives.
“They (CNN) had been caught spreading pretend information and they’re attempting to flee.
“We’re accusing them (CNN) of basing their tales on movies sourced on social media. CNN has been inconsistent. It additionally doctored the video it bought.
“We’re assured in our place.”
On the letter addressed to Jonathan Hawkins, VP (Communications), CNN Centre, Atlanta, Georgia, USA, the minister mentioned, “We’ve got obtained an acknowledgment and we had been instructed that the letter has been handed to the editorial group.”
