Three kidnapped as police rescue 19 in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja Police Command stated three individuals have been kidnapped on Pei-leilei street alongside Kwali axis by gunmen on Wednesday.

 

Nonetheless, the police stated it rescued 19 individuals from the abductors as they responded instantly to the scenario that was delivered to their consideration by a misery name.

The police stated the 19 have been rescued after a gun battle.

Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mariam Yusuf, in an announcement on Thursday stated concerted effort have been being made to rescue the three victims who have been taken into the bordering forest by the abductors.

Yusuf stated the operation was performed by a joint staff of Police operatives from the Command who responded promptly to the event and engaged the closely armed hoodlums in a fierce gun duel.

The assertion reads: “In swift response to a misery name, the FCT Police Command rescued nineteen (19) individuals from being kidnapped on Pei-leilei street alongside Kwali axis on Wednesday twenty fifth November,2020.

“The profitable rescue operation was performed by a joint staff of Police operatives from the Command who responded promptly to the event and engaged the closely armed hoodlums in a fierce gun duel.

“Nonetheless, concerted effort is being made to rescue the remaining three (3) victims in custody of the hoodlums who escaped into the bordering forest.

“The Command reassures members of the Public of its unflinching dedication to deploy proactive crime-fighting measures to make sure the safety of lives and property in FCT forward of the Christmas and New 12 months celebration.”
