Courtroom orders IGP to prosecute businessman, agency over alleged forgery

The Federal Excessive Courtroom in Abuja has ordered the Inspector common of Police, IGP, Mohammed Adamu, to start the prosecution of a businessman, Chika Ikenga, his agency, Eunisell Chemical compounds Restricted over their alleged involvement in forgery.

 

The Courtroom, in a judgement that was delivered by Justice Taiwo Taiwo, additionally directed the Deputy Inspector Basic, DIG, Michael Anthony Ogbizim of the Power Legal Investigation Division, FCID, and Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Augustine Sanomi, who’s the Commissioner of Police, Authorized on the FCID, to make sure the execution of the order.

The judgement adopted a go well with marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/1580/2019, which was filed by Kenneth Amadi, Hapiness Amadi and Idip Nigeria Restricted.

The Plaintiffs had amongst different issues, sought an order of mandamus to compel the Respondents to refile a cost that was earlier entered in opposition to Ikenga, Suraj Yakubu and Eunisell Chemical compounds, which was withdrawn by Police.

Of their movement on discover, the Plaintiffs urged the courtroom to compel the IGP, Ogbozi and Sanomi to refile the cost marked: CR/361/2018 and prosecute Ikenga, Yakubu and Eunisell Chemical compounds on “offences of false data, forgery and false personation”.

In his judgement, Justice Taiwo held that prayers of the Plaintiffs deserved to succeed.

“The respondents are hereby compelled to refile the cost and prosecute Chika Ikenga, Suraj Yakabu and Eunisell Chemical compounds Ltd for the offences of false data, forgery and false impersonation as contained in cost No.CR/361/18 between the Inspector Basic of Police and Chika Ikenga, Suraj Yakubu & Eunisell Chemical compounds Ltd which cost was filed on the fifth of October, 2018 and withdrawn on the twenty sixth of February, 2019.

“Consequently, the courtroom additional orders that the order of courtroom to refile the cost and prosecute the aforementioned individuals shall be carried out inside 14 days by the respondents on the receipt of the enrolled order of this courtroom”, Justice Taiwo held.
