Olisa Metuh leaves Kuje Custodial Heart
Former spokesperson of the Individuals’s Democratic Occasion (PDP), Olisa Metuh has lastly left Kuje jail.
Metuh was freed on Thursday following the nullification of seven-year jail sentence handed right down to him by an Enchantment Courtroom sitting in Abuja.
The Enchantment Courtroom had in it’s ruling on Thursday, the courtroom held that Justice Okon Abang, decide of a federal excessive courtroom in Abuja who despatched him to jail, exhibited bias within the case.
The Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC) had arraigned Metuh on seven counts of cash laundering for allegedly receiving N400 million from the workplace of the nationwide safety adviser.
On February 25, 2020, the trial courtroom pronounced him responsible on all counts of cash laundering and sentenced him to seven years in jail.
