Final week, the social media was abuzz with the demolition of the resort by the Kaduna State City Planning and Growth Company, (KASUPDA).
The company mentioned it did this on the orders of the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, alleging {that a} nude celebration was to carry at Asher.
“KASUPDA have demolished Asher Resort in Barnawa Kaduna South,” the company mentioned on January 1. “Asher Resort was the proposed venue for the Kaduna Intercourse Occasion, the resort was additionally caught contravening the Covid-19 pointers of the state. The demolition was criticised by many Nigerians.

In a press release on Tuesday, signed by the Director Basic of KASUPDA, Ismail Dikko, the company mentioned the demolition was not hinged on the supposed “immoral” celebration as beforehand posited.
Mr Dilkko mentioned authorities information “confirmed that the constructing housing Asher Lounge has neither a legitimate title nor improvement allow.”
