Courtroom Remands Two Suspects for gang-raping, filming 19-year-old lady in Ogun
A Magistrates’ Courtroom in Ota, Ogun State on Wednesday, remanded two buddies in a correctiional centre for allegedly gang-raping and filming a 19-year-old lady.
The police charged Oluwadamilare Oyeniyi, 30, and Okoriji Emmanuel, 30, with two counts of conspiracy and rape.
The State Counsel, Oluwole Ayede instructed the courtroom that the duo dedicated the offence on December 12, 2020 at their residence in Sango Ota space of Ogun.
Ayede alleged that Oyeniyi and Emmanuel conspired and raped the sufferer. He additionally alleged that Oyeniyi and Emmanuel have been caught making a video recording of their crime.
The offence, he mentioned, contravened the provisions of sections 358 and 516 of Vol.1 Legal Code Vol.1,Legal guidelines of Ogun, 2006.
The Justice of the Peace Shotunde Shotayo, who didn’t take the plea of Oyeniyi and Emmanuel, ordered the police to return the case file to the Ogun Director of Public Prosecutions for authorized recommendation.

Shotayo adjourned the matter till March 5, 2021 for point out.
