IPPIS: Anger as lecturer who earns N300,000 month-to-month will get N4,000 from FG
The controversial cost system launched by the federal authorities, the Built-in Personnel and Payroll Info System (IPPIS) could result in the disruption of actions within the nation’s polytechnics.
The Educational Workers Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has cried out in opposition to the lapses inherent within the system and is threatening industrial motion.
Already, the Yaba School of Expertise, Yabatech chapter chairman, Mr Remi Ajiboye, stated salaries of members had been being lower indiscriminately, citing an occasion through which he was paid N4, 000 as month-to-month wage.
Ajiboye is a senior lecturer whose wage needs to be over N300,000 month-to-month.
“There was a month I used to be paid N4,000 as month-to-month wage. And it’s not that the cash forcibly taken away could be repaid any time quickly.”
